All FBCA meetings will be held at the University of Houston-Victoria (Katy), Academic Bldg. 1, Room 106A and 106B.

Other Important Information

Alternate Senator position will be appointed to a member at the next meeting to fulfill the remainder of the term. It will be on the ballot in 2019 as an elected position.

Important note for members or potential members:
Please be sure to provide us an accurate email address that we can forward newsletters, e-vites to the meetings, updates and announcements to you in a timely manner. Please look for our newsletter and evite via email! We will also provide updates re: meeting days/ times by email and/ or evite (due to our need for approval by TCA for prospective programming). Be sure to RSVP for the meeting via evite so we can verify attendance numbers for the meal preparation.


FBCA Purposes

The purposes of the Fort Bend Counseling Association are consistent with those of the Texas Counseling Association and enhance individual human development by:

  • Seeking to advance the scientific discipline of guidance, counseling and personnel work
  • Conducting and fostering programs of education in the field of guidance, counseling and personnel work
  • Promoting sound guidance, counseling and personnel practices in the interest of society and the individual
  • Stimulating, promoting and conducting programs of scientific research and of education in the field of guidance, counseling and personnel work
  • Publishing scientific, educational and professional literature
 
  • Advancing high standards by conducting scientific, educational and professional meetings and conferences
  • Informing and educating the general public about the human development profession
  • Establishing contacts with various organizations for scientific and educational pursuits, and
  • Examining conditions which create barriers to individual development and working to remove them
